Intel SSD 330 Announced

Intel has recently launched a new solid state drive in the form of Intel SSD 330 Series. This one’s designed for desktops and notebooks and sports SATA 6Gbps interface. Intel reports that the new SSD boosts overall system performance and responsiveness for a broad range of applications.
Based on 25nm MLC NAND memory, the Intel SSD 330 provides up to 500MB/s sequential read speeds and up to 450MB/s sequential write speeds. Random read performance can go up to 22,500 IOPS and write IOPS goes up to 33,000.
Intel SSD 330 is now available 60GB ($89), 120GB ($149), and 180GB ($234) storage capacities.
