K|ngp|n Achieves 1442MHz with GeForce GTX 680 on Air-cooling

Earlier overclocking players k|ngp|n conducted extreme overcloking towards GTX 680, pushing the card to 1957MHz, and lately the player made the graphics achieve 1.44GHz in air-cooled condition. K|ngp|n used EVGA GTX 680 SC, the card features default frequency of 1058MHz (1124MHz at Boost). The overclocling test was based on air-cooling, TDP’s upper limit reached 200%,far higher than 132%-150% of the ordinary graphics, which provided great potential for overclocking.

The voltage was displayed at 1.212V, it was also the highest voltage limit set by NVIDIA, core frequency was 1442MHz. In addition, memory frequency reached 3623MHz with improvement of 620MHz, the actual frequency was 1812MHz.

The test bed featured i7-3960X, CPU (oc’ed to 4.98GHz),and memory got 1245.7MHz (2490MHz effective), with 3DMark 11 scoring of P12745.
